BORU 2009 was carried out
Having held at the Istanbul Expo Center between 05 - 08 March 2009 in Hall 09 and 10, the 5th Int.Tube, Pipe & Fittings and Machinery Fair (BORU 2009) was successfully accomplished.
BORU 2009 which was held at the Istanbul Expo Center opened its doors to visitors on Thursday, 5th March 2009. Inauguration ceremony of the fair was realized by Ihlas Holding Deputy Executive Chairman Yavuz Özgün, ÇEBİD (Steel Pipe Manufacturer Association) Executive Board Chairman Bülent Demircioğlu, ITA (International Tube Association) Executive Secretary Phillip G. Knight, İSKİ General Manager Mevlüt Vural and T.R. Industry and Trade Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Associated Prof. Dr. Yavuz Cabbar at 12.00 a.m. Following inauguration, the foremost tube and pipe brands of Turkey and the world exhibited their products.
There were 181 exhibitors from 20 countries and 59 of them were international companies came from 19 differenet countries. And 19.829 professional people visited the event from 35 countries. In the 5th edition of Boru Fair, the fair has managed to increase the number of visitors and got the true visitor mass, despite the global economic crisis.
With regard to the aim of manufacturer companies operate in Turkey in order to increase their products quality, desire for becoming a global brand, meeting with the new markets and successes of Ihlas Fair on specialized fairs have urged the sector claiming the fair, and the fair was carried out with a great success. In the structure of fair, the conference programs held by İgdaş – Ugetam were followed by the sector with interest.
Boru 2009 has completed its formation in terms of period with domestic and international exhibitors and visitors. The fair to be achieved its 6th edition for 2010 by continuing on its way with the title of INTERNATIONAL status.
